CERAMICA NOVA DUTRA LTDA

Fired clay building products from our own kiln facility

We work with raw natural clay, drying yards and continuous firing kilns to produce structural bricks, hollow blocks and terracotta roof tiles for construction. Our daily routine combines molding, controlled drying and high-temperature firing. The result is a dense, durable ceramic body ready for building sites.

What does the company do today?

We are a ceramics manufacturer dedicated to fired clay and baked earth products used in construction, excluding glazed wall tiles and floor tiles. Everything we ship leaves the kiln as a solid ceramic body. Our focus is the everyday material that holds buildings together.

Our core activity

Our plant transforms natural clay into structural and closing elements: solid and perforated bricks, hollow blocks for walls and slabs, and terracotta roofing pieces. We receive raw clay, prepare and shape it, dry the pieces under controlled conditions and fire them in our kilns until the ceramic reaches its final strength and color. Each stage is monitored so that dimensions, firing and moisture stay within workable limits for masonry.

How we operate

We produce to demand and to stock, coordinating batches so that builders and material dealers receive consistent lots. We do not sell finished construction services — we supply the fired ceramic components that go into them. When you contact us, we discuss the piece you need, the quantity and the delivery point, and we prepare the order from our production line accordingly.

Why work with our plant?

We keep the process under our own roof, from raw clay to fired product. That control is what lets us answer questions honestly and deliver repeatable lots. Below are the operational points that matter most to our customers.

01

In-house firing control

We fire in our own kilns and follow the temperature curve through the burn. Controlled firing gives the pieces a uniform color and a consistent ceramic hardness across the batch.

02

Consistent dimensions

Molds and dies are checked so that bricks and blocks keep the same measurements. Predictable sizing means less waste and faster laying on the construction site.

03

Managed drying stage

Before firing, pieces rest in our drying yard until the moisture drops to a safe level. Proper drying reduces cracking and keeps the fired body sound.

04

Selected clay

We prepare the raw clay mix before shaping to keep the ceramic body clean and workable. Good raw material is the base of a strong, long-lasting fired product.

05

Batches to demand

We organize production so that regular buyers receive comparable lots over time. Planning batches ahead helps us hold quantity and quality steady for repeat orders.

What do we manufacture?

Our catalogue is built around structural and closing elements in fired clay. Each product below is manufactured from prepared clay, shaped, dried and fired in our facility. Tell us the piece and the volume and we prepare the order.

Product

Solid clay bricks

Dense fired bricks for load-bearing and facing masonry, offered in standard building formats and delivered in ordered quantities.

Product

Perforated bricks

Lightweight fired bricks with vertical perforations that reduce weight while keeping the strength needed for wall construction.

Product

Hollow ceramic blocks

Fired hollow blocks for closing walls quickly, sized for common masonry courses and mortar joints.

Product

Slab filler blocks

Ceramic filler pieces used between beams in ribbed slabs, formed and fired to keep straight edges and even seating.

Product

Terracotta roof tiles

Fired clay roofing pieces with interlocking profiles for covering pitched roofs, produced from controlled clay batches.

Product

Ridge and finishing pieces

Complementary fired pieces for roof ridges and edges, matched to the tiles so the covering closes cleanly.

Product

Ventilation elements

Perforated fired clay pieces used for air passage in walls and elevations, shaped and burned like the rest of our line.

Product

Custom fired formats

Where a project needs a specific building piece within our clay process, we discuss feasibility and molding before scheduling the batch.

How do you request an estimate?

A clear request lets us answer faster and more accurately. You do not need technical language — plain building terms are enough. When you write to us, try to include the points below so we can prepare a realistic quote for your order.

What do we use in the day-to-day?

Ceramic manufacturing depends on the raw material and the firing stage far more than on any single machine. Our facility is organized around clay preparation, shaping, drying and burning. These are the inputs and resources we handle every day.

Natural clay

Raw clay is the base of everything we make. We prepare and blend it to reach a workable, uniform body before shaping the pieces.

Molds and dies

Shaping tools define the format of each brick, block and tile, and we keep them checked so dimensions stay consistent across lots.

Drying yard

A covered area where shaped pieces lose moisture gradually. Controlled drying prevents cracks and prepares the pieces for firing.

Firing kilns

Our kilns bring the pieces to high temperature until the ceramic body sets its final strength and color, following a monitored curve.

Fuel and energy

Firing needs a steady heat source, so we manage fuel supply and burn control to keep the temperature stable during each batch.

Handling and stacking

Pallets and yard organization let us store fired product safely and load orders without damaging edges or breaking pieces.

Who do we serve?

Our products are building components, so our customers are the people who buy, resell or install construction materials. We adapt batch size and scheduling to each profile below, from a single delivery to recurring supply.

Building material dealers

Stores and yards that resell bricks, blocks and tiles to the public. We supply consistent lots so they can hold reliable stock.

Construction contractors

Builders running masonry and roofing work who need dependable quantities delivered on schedule for active sites.

Civil engineering firms

Companies specifying ceramic elements for projects that require predictable dimensions and repeatable batches.

Masons and small builders

Professionals working directly on site who order the exact pieces and volumes their job needs, without complex logistics.

Roofing specialists

Teams covering pitched roofs who require matching tiles, ridges and finishing pieces from the same fired clay line.

Property owners renovating

Owners handling their own construction or renovation who prefer to buy fired ceramic components straight from the plant.

What is the scope we cover?

Our manufacturing base is located on Estrada Pinheiral Arrozal, KM 09, in Pinheiral. From this facility we prepare, fire and dispatch our ceramic products. The section below explains how we organize delivery and what our scope does and does not include.

Production and dispatch

All firing happens at our own plant, and orders are loaded from the same yard where the finished pieces are stored. Because ceramic building material is heavy and shipped in volume, we plan each dispatch around quantity and access at the delivery point. We coordinate delivery windows with the customer so the load arrives when the site is ready to receive it, avoiding double handling.

What our scope includes

Our scope is the manufacture and supply of fired clay building components. We handle the material up to loading and delivery of the ordered pieces. We do not carry out masonry, roofing or any construction service on site, and we do not produce glazed wall tiles or floor tiles, which fall outside our activity. If a request goes beyond fired clay building elements, we say so clearly and point to what we can actually produce.
